Marcus Capalbo, D.M.D.
Becoming a dentist was a lifelong dream for Dr. Marcus Capalbo. Growing up in a family of dentists, he always aspired to follow in the footsteps of his grandfather, father and brothers. Dr. Marcus is the seventh dentist in his family. His father and uncle still practice in the office founded by his grandfather in Westerly, RI.
Dr. Marcus graduated from Providence College and then attended Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, MA. At Tufts, he earned a Doctorate of Medical Dentistry degree. Following dental school, Dr. Marcus attended the University of Connecticut, School of Dental Medicine where he completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the UConn Health Center Hospital. Dr. Marcus still continues his education, taking classes and attending seminars all over the country.
Dr. Marcus enjoys staying active and is an avid golfer and skier. His favorite way to spend free time is with his family at the beach. He is passionate about animals and enjoys cooking. Dr. Marcus and his wife just welcomed a baby girl this January.
Elliot Kimmel, D.D.S.
Dr. Elliot Kimmel is a well-loved dentist. He earned a Masters in Oral Biology before going to Loyola University in Maywood, Illinois to receive his Doctorate in Dental Surgery. He has been married to his lovely wife, Hinda, for over 47 years. They have two married sons and four grandchildren so far. Dr. Kimmel is semi-retired, working in our office a day and a half per week. During his free time, he enjoys traveling, especially tandem cycling trips, reading and adores spending time with his grandchildren.
Stephanie Young, D.D.S.
Dr. Young was born and raised on a ranch in western Wyoming. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Wyoming. After beginning her dental career as a dental assistant, she then furthered her education by attending dental school at Creighton University in Omaha, NE. Upon graduating in 2009, Dr. Young moved to Texas where she joined a large group practice and worked in several community health clinics throughout the state for a number of years. She then met and married her husband and relocated to Connecticut. Most recently, Dr. Young held the position of Associate Dentist in a private practice in Massachusetts.
Dr. Young enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and the variety that each day brings. Her specialty is getting to know her patients and working together for the best possible outcome. For Dr. Young, it is most important to her that patients understand they are equal partners in decision making regarding their oral health care.
When she’s not chairside, Dr. Young enjoys spending time with her husband and three children. She appreciates some of life’s simple pleasures, including exploring nature and the outdoors, staying active, woodworking and home remodeling projects, and vacationing – especially anywhere involving the beach, sun and snorkeling.
